The Evolution of Creativity
I am old-school and from generation where manual labour was still a thing, but there is no denying that the digital age that I went through, is going to become more productive and effective through AI.

A Personal Journey Through Artistic Evolution
The debate around AI in artistic work reveals passionate advocates on both sides, and I genuinely understand the concerns from both perspectives. Yet when we look at pure productivity, there's little doubt that AI will eventually dominate across virtually every creative domain.
My own creative journey began with the humble pencil, the only tool available to me in my early years. As technology evolved, so did my approach, gradually transitioning to digital methods. What strikes me as truly remarkable is that I've had the privilege of witnessing three transformative eras of creative expression: from traditional manual techniques to digital workflows, and now to AI-assisted creation. Each transition has opened doorways to entirely new possibilities.
The Manual Era
When creativity was defined by physical skill, patience, and years of practice with traditional tools and materials.
The Digital Revolution
When software and technology transformed creative processes, bringing both criticism and unprecedented new capabilities.
The AI Transformation
When machine learning begins to accelerate creation beyond human limitations, democratizing creative tools for everyone.
Weathering the Storm of Change
The shift from traditional to digital art wasn't without its challenges. I weathered harsh criticism from online purists who viewed digital tools as somehow less legitimate. "You're just cheating," they'd say, pointing to the ability to undo mistakes or work without the constraints of physical media. The underlying accusation was clear "I wasn't honoring the traditional craft".
This raises an interesting question: what should we value more, productivity or pride in traditional methods? While I deeply appreciate the satisfaction that comes from mastering traditional techniques, I've also learned that pride can be costly. Those unwilling to adapt to new creative paradigms often find themselves left behind, clinging to familiar methods while innovation races forward. The most successful creators, I've found, honor tradition while embracing the future.

The Current Reality
Despite the rapid acceleration we're witnessing in AI technology, a pace that will only intensify in the coming years, the technology still has significant limitations. For now, your artistic skills remain valuable, largely due to AI's inherent randomness and inconsistencies. But let's not be naive! AI will eventually overcome these limitations. When that happens, my hope is that we'll have already integrated our skills into AI workflows, put aside some of our professional pride, and embraced these new creative paradigms.
The video I shared above wasn't entirely AI-generated, but it's fair to say that AI handled roughly 60% of the work. There's something both fascinating and unsettling about this, particularly the fact that I completed the entire project in a single day. To better understand the current state of human-AI collaboration, let's break down what elements were AI-created versus what required human input.

Art Without Boundaries
While I did use some of my previous artwork to guide the AI toward the vision I had in mind, I could have achieved similar results without these references. This realization points to something truly transformative: AI is breaking down the barriers of creative expression. Now, virtually anyone can be an artist and elevate their storytelling to professional levels.
I find this development genuinely exciting. For too long, talented individuals have been overlooked simply because they lacked the resources to create promotional materials or invest in content production. AI changes this equation dramatically. People who may have brilliant ideas but limited artistic abilities can now express themselves visually with unprecedented ease. Suddenly, voices that were previously constrained by technical or financial limitations have a means of creative expression.
The range of creative possibilities that AI enables is truly remarkable. Let's examine what's now accessible to virtually anyone with access to these emerging technologies.

The Ethical Dimension
You might naturally wonder, "What about the ethics of AI-created content?" This is indeed a sensitive area that requires vigilant oversight. While many view AI as an exciting new avenue for promoting themselves and their ideas, we must acknowledge its shadow side. There will inevitably be those who exploit this technology to fabricate conspiracy theories, spread misinformation, and create propaganda, areas where AI can have profoundly negative consequences.
For now, the responsibility falls largely on us as individuals to develop stronger critical thinking skills and better information filters. Many problematic AI-generated materials slip through the cracks in platform policies and content moderation systems. This reality demands that we approach online content with a healthy dose of skepticism while we work toward more comprehensive ethical frameworks and regulatory solutions.
"The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways."
