Who is responsible

DW Innovation, Darren Wilden, Denmark, CVR 21487791. You can reach me through the contact page.

No tracking, no cookies

This site and Mill Street use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and set no cookies. I do not know who visits, and I have chosen not to.

Letters you write to me

When you write through the contact page, your name, email address and letter are sent to me by email, so that I can read it and write back. They are used for nothing else, never shared and never added to a mailing list. To keep out automated spam, the form briefly records when a letter was last sent, without its content.

The Post Office inside Mill Street works the same way. Your letter, and your name if you give one, are sent to me by email. Nothing is stored on the server, and no email address is asked for, so I can only reply if you include one yourself.

Letters stay in my mailbox. If you would like yours deleted, write to me and I will delete it.

What Mill Street keeps on your device

The game remembers a few things in your own browser's storage, on your device only, so you can carry on where you left off:

  • the keepsakes in your satchel, your circus tickets and whether you have seen the ending
  • your music, voice and sound levels and the graphics level that suits your device
  • whether you have watched the introduction, and where 2MS was when you last got out of a taxi

None of it is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Things that come from other companies

Fonts. The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them. See Google's privacy policy.

Films. The film on the home page, and the films on the screens inside Mill Street, play from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service, and only once you press play or go in to watch one. From then on YouTube's privacy policy applies to that film.

The web host

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard technical logs, such as the address a request came from and when, to keep the service secure. I do not use them to follow visitors.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Write to me through the contact page. If you are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
